Hunting on Tsawichas
Hunting & Guestfarm Tsawichas
The hunting and guestfarm Tsawichas lies about 2,5 hours drive from the capital Windhoek, in a beautiful mountainous setting. To the west, about 1,5 hours drive is the coastal town of Swakopmund, in the north, towns such as Omaruru, Otjiwarongo and the welknown Etosha Game Park are easily reachable.
On an area of 22,000 hactares you will find a large variety of different landscapes, from marble mountains to plains and escarpment mountain ranges.
Due to the fact that no hunting is permitted on the neighbouring farms, our game count on Tsawichas is rather large with many an excellent trophy animal.
The hunting expedition is led by our own professional hunter, who is registered with the Namibia Professional Hunters Association (NAPHTA).
The best time to hunt in Namibia is from May to November. Our main hunting stock consists of Kudu, Oryx, Mountain Zebra, Springbck and Leopard.
Holiday and Quality of Life
For our guests we have five double rooms and four large luxury tents available. In our roomy lapa with built in fireplace, we enjoy our meals and sit and chat in a relaxed atmosphere. A swimming pool with a view over the unspoilt bush landscape, winks with an invitation to cool yourself down. For larger groups and trekking tours we have over 15 tents ( 6m x 6m ) and all the equipment to make your stay a most enjoyable one.
We currently have four tame horses and another three more are being tamed by our own ‘horse whisperer’. Children can also have a lot of fun at Tsawichas, as we have a lot of hand reared animals, including a tame Kudu and three tame Chacma baboons.
Close to the farmhouse we have ducks, geese, chickens, cows and goats who will let you pet them at the drop of a hat.
Ecology is very important to us, so we offer our guests a variety of products that are home grown on the farm. We are also able to free you from your stress with our Reiki therapy.
If you should be in need of a few days break away from the farm, we can offer you a holiday home for five persons in the coastal town of Swakopmund, where you can go sand-boarding, quad-biking, fishing and much more in the Namib desert.
Allow yourself and your family to enjoy an unforgettable impression of our beautiful country, Namibia.
